The D-6 Father-Daughter Princess Ball

I recently had the joy of photographing a room full of princesses all decked out in their gowns and tiaras. It’s not every day that you get to say that. Believe me when I say that it was an absolute "cute fest". It was such fun watching these little ones dance with their dads & grandpas. Crossroads Community Church was the sight of the "D6 Father-Daughter Princess Ball". For those of you not familiar with the “D-6” concept, here’s a quick explanation in a nutshell. D-6 is a principle based on Deuteronomy 6:5-7, which tells us that the commandments that God gives us should not only be on our hearts, but should be something that we walk out on a daily basis in order to impress them on the hearts of our children. Crossroads recognizes the biblical mandate of parents being involved with the spiritual development of their children in a very hands-on way. This means that they are helping to equip parents to be the primary spiritual leaders of their homes and helping parents and children connect in very meaningful ways.
It’s such a great concept, and it was a great night for dads and grandpas to celebrate the little princesses in their lives. There was a lot of great food, and a lot of spinning around on the dance floor, and a quiz that gave those dads a chance to showcase their knowledge of their favorite Disney princesses. Hope you enjoy the pictures of these little cuties!

Eric + Brittany

I’ve got to give props to my friend Brad Conner of Blending Pixels. I recently had the privilege of shooting Eric & Brittany’s nuptials with him. It was such a gorgeous wedding! The ceremony was performed in the chapel at the Ritz Charles in Carmel, and the reception was held in their garden pavilion. In spite of the gray skies and occasional rain, you couldn’t help but think summer that day. Everything was decked out in turquoise and tangerine with crisp white linens.  Congratulations Eric & Brittany!

Megan + Korey

I had the pleasure of photographing Megan and Korey’s wedding a few weeks ago. What’s not to love about this wedding! The day started off with Megan finishing a love letter to Korey.  Since their engagement several months ago, Megan has secretly been amassing stacks and stacks of love letters to him.  These letters were bundled and presented to a very surprised Korey during the wedding ceremony. Megan had written precisely enough letters so the he could read one a week for their first five years of marriage.  Seriously, don’t you love it? Take a look-see at these photos, and you’ll know why I adored shooting this wedding and these two beautiful people.

These two chose to have their first look at one another before the ceremony. I just love the looks on their faces when Korey turned to face Megan.

Congratulations to you both!
